Esmeralda Jaime is a San Antonio based Tejano recording artist, best known for her 90's hits “Tu Muñeca”, “No Soporto Mas”, and “Entre Las Sombras”. The young vocal prodigy began her career recording many mariachi standards under the stage name Lolita Villa as a child. She later stripped the moniker to perform under her own name & quickly began to receive recognition as a Tejano artist, receiving the nomination for “Rising Star” at the Lo Nuestro Awards in 1992. Esmeralda went on to share the stage with Tejano legends such as Mazz, Emilio Navaira and Selena. Her powerful & precise vocal talents went on to excite fans & the industry of Tejano alike, earning her nominations for the Tejano Music Awards in 1993 and 1994, and growing a dedicated cult following in the process.
After a more than 25 year hiatus, Esmeralda returns with a cover of the Christmas classic, “Last Christmas” (“Mi Amor Te Di En Navidad”), bringing the 80’s synth pop that initially inspired the classic 80’s & 90’s Tejano sound, full circle. With translated lyrics from Esmeralda herself, and production from her son, indie producer & artist Werito, “Mi Amor Te Di En Navidad” brings the much needed holiday flare to the Tejano circuit.
Fans should not only anticipate Esmeralda‘s return to the stage, but also previously recorded hits and brand new original compositions coming to streaming platforms in the near future.

Mi amor te di en navidad
De regalo quebraste mi corazón
Para no llorar más lo daré a quien lo merece
Será mi culpa un segundo desengaño
Guardo distancia aun me haces suspirar
Dime baby dime que recuerdas
